Opportunity Overview: Legal Counsel (Employment) at Revolut

Revolut, a leading global financial super-app with over 75 million customers worldwide, is seeking a highly capable and driven Legal Counsel (Employment) to join its legal team in the United Kingdom. This is a full-time, mid-senior level position designed for an experienced employment lawyer who can deliver sharp, practical, and proactive legal advice to support the company's rapid global growth while ensuring compliance and protection.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will partner with local management, Employee Relations (ER), and Human Resources (HR) teams. Primary duties include:

  • Providing comprehensive legal counsel on UK employment issues, including grievances, dismissals, employment contracts, negotiated exits, and settlements.
  • Managing complex cross-border employment projects across EMEA and globally, including coordinating with external counsel.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with local UK legislation, such as working time regulations.
  • Advising on global mobility, contingent worker frameworks, compensation, benefits, and equity awards.
  • Handling regulatory issues, conduct matters, remuneration inquiries, and employment litigation.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience as an employment lawyer in a top-tier UK law firm and/or within the in-house legal department of a multinational organization.
  • Legal Knowledge: Solid, demonstrable knowledge of UK employment laws.
  • Skills: Fluency in English, excellent legal research capabilities, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior in-house experience, a background in banking or regulatory fields, and experience handling cross-border employment issues in EMEA and APAC are highly desirable.
