Title: Legal Counsel at BeOne Medicines Category: Jobs Organiser: BeOne Medicines Description: BeOne Medicines is seeking a self-motivated Legal Counsel to join its rapidly growing team dedicated to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. This role is designed for an experienced professional capable of supporting the increasing legal and contractual demands of the business. The primary focus of the position is to serve as a trusted advisor to internal business partners while managing a high volume of complex legal agreements. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing the full lifecycle of various contracts, including master service agreements, clinical trial agreements, and consulting arrangements. Beyond contract management, the Legal Counsel will evaluate contractual risks, ensure compliance with applicable healthcare and pharmaceutical regulations, and provide solution-oriented support to functions such as research and development, procurement, and finance. Additionally, the role involves training business functions on the use of contract templates and best practices, conducting legal research to inform decision-making, and leading special projects to drive organizational change. The position requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively across global time zones in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Eligibility: * Possession of a U.S. law degree (J.D.). * Current "good standing" admission to at least one U.S. state bar. * Minimum of 3+ years of prior in-house experience within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company (strongly preferred). * Proven experience in clinical operations or procurement legal departments. * Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical problem-solving. * Working knowledge of applicable healthcare and pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
