Description: O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a full-time Legal Counsel for Intellectual Property & Transactions. This role reports to the Associate General Counsel/Director of Transactions and Litigation. The selected candidate will provide strategic intellectual property portfolio management of the Company’s trademarks, collaborate with business teams to implement protection strategies, and oversee outside counsel. Additionally, the role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating vendor, merchandising, and other commercial contracts while mitigating risk and achieving business objectives.
Eligibility:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with at least one State Bar.
• 8+ years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in intellectual property law in an in-house or law firm setting.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee international IP portfolio management, trademark clearance searches, registrations, and enforcement.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (Supplier Agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SaaS, etc.).
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders.
