Opportunity Overview: Legal Counsel, Litigation at REGENT

REGENT, a prominent global private holding company, is seeking a talented and driven Legal Counsel, Litigation to join its in-house legal team. Based in Beverly Hills, California, this is a full-time, in-office position. REGENT focuses on acquiring businesses and driving exponential growth through operational improvements and strategic capital deployment across the United States and Europe. The selected candidate will play a critical role in managing active disputes, coordinating with external counsel, and shaping litigation strategies across REGENT and its diverse portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel, Litigation will be responsible for a wide range of dispute resolution and risk management tasks, including:

• Case Management: Assisting in the management of active litigation and disputes, including commercial, employment, regulatory, intellectual property (IP), and class action matters.
• Strategy Development: Partnering with the internal legal team to formulate consistent case strategies and legal approaches across the portfolio.
• Outside Counsel Coordination: Liaising with external legal partners, supporting their selection, and monitoring case budgets, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Investigations & Compliance: Conducting internal investigations, responding to demand letters, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries.
• Risk Mitigation: Developing internal processes to enhance litigation readiness and working on litigation-related insurance claims and coverage.

Eligibility & Requirements

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Active admission to the State Bar of California or New York.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of litigation experience within a law firm or an in-house corporate legal department.
• Skills: Strong foundation in managing complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and robust project management abilities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Judicial clerkship experience, familiarity with corporate governance, and prior experience in employment or labor litigation are highly advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits

REGENT offers a competitive compensation package for this role. The estimated base salary range for individuals hired in California is $180,000 to $225,000 per year. The final salary determination will depend on factors such as the candidate's experience, training, licensure, and specific skill sets.
