REGENT, a premier global private holding company, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel, Litigation to join its in-house legal team. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing active disputes, coordinating with external legal partners, and assisting with litigation strategy and risk assessment across REGENT and its diverse portfolio of companies.

Key Responsibilities
The Legal Counsel, Litigation will be responsible for a wide array of litigation and dispute management tasks, including:
- Case Management: Assisting with the management of active litigation and dispute matters involving REGENT and its portfolio companies, including employment, commercial, regulatory, intellectual property (IP), and class action disputes.
- Strategy Development: Partnering with the internal legal team to develop robust case strategies and ensure consistent legal approaches across the portfolio.
- Outside Counsel Coordination: Liaising with outside counsel, supporting the selection, engagement, and ongoing management of external legal partners, and monitoring case budgets, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Research & Investigation: Conducting legal research and analysis to support pre-litigation strategy, dispute resolution efforts, internal investigations, and responses to demand letters or regulatory inquiries.
- Regulatory Compliance: Supporting responses to subpoenas, regulatory exams, and investigations in coordination with external counsel, and preparing required documentation.
- Risk Mitigation: Working with internal teams on litigation-related insurance issues and developing internal processes to enhance litigation readiness and mitigate risk.
Eligibility Criteria & Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active admission to the California or New York State Bar is mandatory.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of litigation experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Skills: A strong foundation in managing complex litigation across multiple jurisdictions, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Clerkship experience, familiarity with corporate governance, employment law, regulatory frameworks, and experience with employment/labor litigation are highly preferred.
Compensation & Position Details
- Position Type: Full-time, In-office (Beverly Hills, CA)
- Salary Range: $180,000 to $225,000 per year (base salary estimate for California)
