Opportunity Overview

Based in Singapore, this full-time, mid-senior level position offers an exceptional opportunity for corporate lawyers to transition into a highly strategic, transactional, and advisory in-house role. The hiring organization operates across various asset classes with physical offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia, making this a truly global mandate.

Key Responsibilities and Role Focus

The selected candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate-led transactional work and strategic business advisory. The work allocation is structured as follows:

• Transactions (50%): Leading and supporting M&A, Joint Ventures (JVs), and investment-led projects across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
• Commercial (25%): Providing commercial guidance and drafting/negotiating ad-hoc commercial agreements.
• Business Advisory & Strategy (25%): Working closely with investment teams to structure business strategies and implement key commercial initiatives.

In addition to transactional support, the Legal Counsel will maintain a constant awareness of key regulatory and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Eligibility & Candidate Profile

To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) with an essential background in M&A or investment-focused legal practice.
• Education: Academic credentials and training from Tier-1 legal institutions. Prior overseas professional or educational experience is highly desirable.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates holding an MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent business-related experience will be given preference.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a growing, close-knit team in Singapore while seamlessly coordinating with key stakeholders overseas.
