Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will primarily support various market-focused and front-office teams with ongoing deal support. Key responsibilities include:

• Deal Support & Negotiation: Playing an integral role in drafting, negotiating, and closing complex commercial agreements.
• Product & Regulatory Advisory: Supporting business teams with licensing requests, new product launches, and providing up-to-date commercial advice on evolving regulatory landscapes across the APAC region.
• Regional Projects: Contributing to the regional projects team, focusing on products and services across Asia. This role offers a superb mix of commercial, transactional, and regulatory product-focused work.

Eligibility & Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: 6 to 10 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Academic & Professional Credentials: Tier 1 education and law firm credentials are highly preferred.
• Background: Prior in-house experience or secondment experience is prioritized, though outstanding Tier 1 lawyers transitioning directly from private practice will also be considered.
• Domain Expertise: Preferred exposure to digital banking, payments, digital services (such as e-commerce), or technology (SaaS), along with experience dealing with regulatory bodies.
• Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential due to the regional and highly collaborative nature of the role.
