The Legal Counsel, Real Estate Development, will play a critical role in supporting the company’s large-scale real estate developments and project financings. Reporting to the General Counsel, Real Estate, the successful candidate will lead contract drafting, negotiation, and execution for real estate acquisitions, power matters, and project finance transactions. The role involves managing the full transaction lifecycle, including site selection, purchase and sale agreements, and specialized data center service agreements. Additionally, the counsel will conduct comprehensive due diligence on title, environmental, and zoning matters while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in construction, finance, and engineering to mitigate development risks. This position is based in San Francisco and requires an in-office presence five days per week. Eligibility: * Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. * Active bar admission in any U.S. state. * 5–7 years of experience in complex real estate acquisitions and power procurement. * Deep understanding of construction financing and loan due diligence processes. * Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to manage high-stakes business environments. * Experience with data centers or large-scale industrial development projects is strongly preferred.
