About the Opportunity

Jobgether is hiring a Legal Counsel (Regulatory & Licensing) on behalf of a partner company in the fintech and digital assets sector. This is a high-impact, full-time role based in India, designed for legally qualified professionals who thrive at the intersection of law, technology, and financial innovation. The selected candidate will navigate complex global regulatory environments and lead strategic regulatory applications across multiple jurisdictions to expand international licensing coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Licensing & Applications: Lead and manage end-to-end regulatory licensing applications across various jurisdictions, including VASP, MiCA, MSB, and other financial service authorizations.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Track global regulatory developments in fintech and crypto markets, providing clear, actionable briefings to executive leadership.
• Framework Analysis: Analyze evolving legal frameworks from major global regulators such as the SEC, CFTC, FCA, MAS, and EU regulatory regimes.
• Compliance Collaboration: Partner closely with Compliance and AML teams to translate regulatory requirements into operational policies and audit-ready processes.
• Governance Support: Assist in designing and implementing governance frameworks aligned with global licensing obligations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Professional Credentials: Must be a qualified lawyer with active legal credentials.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial regulation, fintech law, or related legal advisory roles.
• Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of crypto regulation, digital assets frameworks, payment services laws, or traditional financial regulatory systems.
• Skills: Proven experience managing complex licensing projects in multi-jurisdictional environments, strong risk awareness, and excellent analytical skills.
• Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Chinese is highly preferred.
