Swiss Re is seeking a tech-savvy Legal Counsel to join its Legal Solutions & Services team. This role supports the Reinsurance Solutions business unit, focusing on the contractual and legal frameworks behind risk intelligence platforms and fee-based digital services. The successful candidate will advise on the development, commercialization, and regulatory positioning of flagship SaaS offerings (such as Risk Data & Services, CatNet, and Magnum) and bespoke consulting engagements.Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, with a strong emphasis on SaaS contracts and platform access terms.
• Provide legal guidance on the development and deployment of tech platforms in the re/insurance space.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, product owners, engineers, risk management, and compliance) across global markets.
• Develop internal policies, frameworks, templates, and deliver training on emerging issues in tech solutions.

Eligibility:

• A U.S. law degree and bar admission.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience (ideally in-house or at a firm with tech or re/insurance clients).
• Proven expertise in negotiating SaaS and commercial tech contracts (essential).
• Familiarity with U.S. re/insurance regulatory frameworks or an interest to develop this experience in-house.

• Estimated base salary range for Armonk, NY: $160,000 to $216,000.
• Estimated base salary range for Kansas City, MO: $156,000 to $210,000.
• Total compensation approach including base pay, short- and long-term incentives, and benefits.
