Primark is seeking a full-time Legal Counsel - Technology to join its legal team in Reading. The successful candidate will act as the primary legal partner for technology, data, and AI topics, supporting strategic digital transformation and outsourcing programmes across multiple markets.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the drafting and negotiation of enterprise technology contracts, including cloud, software, data, digital, and cross-border service arrangements.
• Provide clear legal advice on contracts, disputes, and legislation impacting technology, data, and digital services (including cross-border transfers, cybersecurity, and AI governance).
• Advise on emerging technology matters such as AI use cases, automation, data commercialisation, and evolving EU/UK regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with external counsel across jurisdictions, managing timelines and budgets while translating legal advice into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for technology and commercial contracts.
• Exposure to data protection, cybersecurity, or regulatory matters covering both EU and UK regimes.
• Interest in or experience with AI, automation, digital platforms, and data-driven business models.
• Proven ability to manage large projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
