Title: Legal Regulatory Counsel at Tencent Category: Jobs Organiser: Tencent Description: Tencent is seeking a Legal Regulatory Counsel to join its legal team in Singapore, focusing on supporting the company’s rapidly growing global business operations outside of China. The successful candidate will collaborate with various business groups to evaluate new initiatives, navigate regulatory risks, and provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to shape how products and services operate across international markets. The role involves monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments across key global markets to assess their impact on business operations. Key responsibilities include supporting the development of compliance frameworks, policies, and training programs, as well as coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage regulatory inquiries, reviews, and investigations. Eligibility: * 3–5 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE). * Qualified to practice law in Singapore, Hong Kong, or another comparable common law jurisdiction. * Professional experience in regulatory compliance, gained either in-house at a technology/internet company, at a law firm advising tech clients, or within a government regulatory body. * Proficiency in both English and Mandarin. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. * Experience handling regulatory investigations or engaging with regulatory authorities is considered an advantage.
