Description: StackAdapt is seeking a Privacy Counsel to report to the Global Privacy Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the company's privacy program, maintaining compliance with global privacy laws, and mitigating risk. Key duties include negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), implementing privacy-by-design principles, and providing legal guidance to internal teams on data protection frameworks (CCPA, COPPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA). This is a remote-first role within a collaborative global legal team.
Eligibility: Candidates must possess at least 5 years of privacy or legal operations experience, ideally in-house within the adtech/martech industry or a reputable law firm. Applicants must have active standing in at least one U.S. state bar. Strong writing skills and the ability to translate complex privacy concepts into business terms are required. IAPP certification is considered an asset.
