Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

The selected associate will represent clients in complex real estate disputes and commercial litigation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including drafting and serving predicate notices and court pleadings.
  • Handling commercial foreclosure litigation and demonstrating a proactive willingness to master foreclosure practices.
  • Conducting sophisticated legal research and drafting clear, persuasive motions and legal briefs in compliance with New York citation formatting.
  • Participating actively in all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery (including e-discovery), and courtroom appearances.
  • Working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, high-performing legal team.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of dedicated commercial litigation experience, with specific exposure to commercial landlord-tenant and real estate litigation.
  • Academic Background: Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Firm Experience: Prior experience working at a large regional, national, or international law firm is highly preferred.
  • Key Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, self-motivation, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

In accordance with the New York State and New York City Pay Transparency Laws, the annual base salary range for this position is $310,000 to $390,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and depth of experience.
