The Research Associate will support ongoing research at the intersection of renewable energy infrastructure and land-use systems. The role involves designing research projects, developing structured datasets, and analyzing data from public records and project reports to assess risks such as regulatory challenges and cost overruns. The position requires a balance of analytical reasoning and fieldwork, including direct engagement with affected communities, developers, and policymakers. Selected candidates will also be responsible for integrating geospatial datasets for infrastructure analysis and contributing to high-quality analytical reports. This contract-based position offers an opportunity to inform sustainable infrastructure planning and decision-making through data-driven insights. Eligibility: * PhD in renewable energy, land governance, or a related field; OR * A postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Economics, Public Policy, Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, or related fields with 3–6 years of relevant experience. * Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. * Proven ability to manage and analyze field-based data. * Exposure to geospatial analysis or remote sensing datasets. * Willingness to travel for fieldwork and stakeholder engagement.
