Reporting to the Director, Associate General Counsel, the successful candidate will provide innovative legal guidance on complex issues related to technological advancements. This role is a key contributor to the company’s privacy, compliance, and product development efforts, requiring a business-minded approach to in-house legal support. The primary responsibilities include reviewing, drafting, and managing technology licenses, intellectual property agreements, SaaS/cloud contracts, and data processing agreements (DPAs). The counsel will also advise cross-functional stakeholders on GDPR compliance, regulatory requirements, and business strategy during commercial transactions. This is a remote-first position designed for a collaborative professional who can effectively communicate legal concepts to diverse business units including Sales, Finance, and Marketing. Eligibility: * JD degree or equivalent legal degree. * Qualified and in good standing to practice law (or authorized as registered in-house counsel) in the state of residence. * A minimum of eight years of experience in technology licensing or transactional law within an in-house environment or a top-tier law firm. * Demonstrated experience in structuring and negotiating domestic and international transactions, including service agreements and alliance agreements. * Proven expertise in GDPR and other domestic and international data protection and privacy regulations. * Familiarity with government contracting, compliance, and flow-down requirements. * Knowledge of network security, cloud computing, and SaaS business models.
