GoDigital Media Group is seeking a full-time Senior Director / VP Legal & Business Affair Counsel to provide legal support and strategic advice. The role focuses on handling complex business transactions within the music industry, including contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property rights management, licensing agreements, compliance, and risk management. The position reports directly to the General Counsel and offers a 100% remote work option. Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate agreements involving complex financial structures, revenue-sharing, advances, and recoupment mechanics.
- Support due diligence efforts related to music catalog acquisitions and rights-based transactions.
- Develop strategies to protect and maximize the commercial value of intellectual property assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations across business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external legal counsel on litigation and business strategies.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 7 years of experience in the music industry with direct involvement in music distribution, record deals, and acquisitions.
- Working knowledge of financial concepts relevant to the business (e.g., deal economics, revenue structures, EBITDA).
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work 100% remotely.
