Senior Legal Counsel (Bilingual Spanish)

About the Opportunity

HiTHIUM Energy Storage, a global leader in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing, is seeking a highly qualified Senior Legal Counsel (Bilingual Spanish) to join its international legal team. This full-time, mid-senior level position is based in the United States and is primarily responsible for managing legal matters related to the company's sales, procurement, and manufacturing activities across the U.S. and Latin America (LATAM) regions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's commercial and regulatory interests. Core duties include:

• Contract Management: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, and supplier agreements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to all applicable local and international laws, particularly those governing battery manufacturing and the renewable energy sector.
• Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential legal risks and collaborating with executive leadership to implement cost-effective mitigation strategies.
• Corporate Governance: Supporting general corporate governance and assisting in the development and rollout of internal policies and procedures.
• Dispute Resolution: Managing pre-litigation risks, formulating litigation strategies, and coordinating with external counsel to resolve disputes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Providing strategic legal counsel to internal departments such as sales, operations, procurement, and human resources to align business objectives with legal boundaries.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Language Proficiency: Professional bilingual fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory, given the role's focus on LATAM operations.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in reviewing and negotiating sales and procurement contracts. Experience in the renewable energy or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
• Bar Admission: An active bar license in any U.S. state is preferred.
• Core Competencies: Deep understanding of corporate law, contract law, and labor law, particularly within the manufacturing industry.
