Title: Senior Program Officer (Child Protection) at iProbono India Legal Services Category: Jobs Organiser: iProbono India Legal Services Description: iProbono India Legal Services is seeking a dynamic, mid-career legal professional for the position of Senior Program Officer (Child Protection) based in New Delhi. This full-time role is designed for individuals with significant litigation experience and expertise in child protection laws, specifically the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The position offers an opportunity to drive impactful legal initiatives while providing strategic leadership within the organization’s child rights vertical. The primary responsibilities include overseeing trial and appellate court casework for child survivors of sexual abuse, trafficking, and bonded labour. The officer will be responsible for drafting pleadings, attending court hearings, and coordinating with panel advocates, social workers, and government authorities such as Child Welfare Committees (CWCs). Beyond casework, the role involves leading advocacy and fact-finding initiatives, conducting legal research for social impact litigation, and developing training resources for partner organizations and the legal community. Eligibility: * Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.). * 4-7 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in litigation. * Proven expertise in child rights and/or POCSO matters, gained within an NGO or a litigation chamber. * Sound knowledge of the Indian legal system and child rights framework. * Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Hindi.
