Title: State Coordinator: Migration and Asylum Project (MAP), Delhi Category: Jobs Organiser: Migration and Asylum Project (MAP) Description: The Migration and Asylum Project (MAP) is seeking a committed State Coordinator to lead its Gender Equality and Empowerment department in Delhi. This critical role is designed for a dynamic legal professional who will spearhead institutional engagement, capacity building, and program implementation. The primary objective is to advance access to justice for marginalized communities, specifically focusing on migrants and forcibly displaced persons, by making justice systems more inclusive and responsive. The State Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including conducting legal awareness sessions on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), operating community legal desks, and providing preliminary legal counseling. Additionally, the role involves building strategic partnerships with law schools, bar associations, and civil society organizations to influence policy reforms and strengthen the justice ecosystem. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires extensive travel within the state and periodic travel to other locations. Eligibility: * Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Law. * Minimum of 4 years of litigation and related experience (preferably in District and High Courts). * Familiarity with Indian laws pertaining to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and institutional strengthening. * Experience engaging with government systems, legal services authorities, bar councils, or law universities (preferred). * Proven experience working with marginalized communities and grassroots support structures. * High-quality written and verbal communication skills in both Hindi and English. * Prior supervisory experience with field teams, community workers, or Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs).
