Description: Oyster is seeking a business-minded, systems-oriented Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary to lead their global Legal and Compliance function. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will serve as the principal legal advisor to the executive team and Board, overseeing legal strategy across product, customer, and corporate domains. Responsibilities include leading a distributed team of 35+ professionals, managing global employment and worker classification risks (EOR model), overseeing commercial legal strategy, and managing ESG and AI-related legal guidance.
Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate or be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction. Required experience includes at least 10 years of PQE and a minimum of 5 years serving as a GC, Deputy GC, or AGC within a corporate legal department. Candidates must have experience building and managing distributed teams in a remote environment and possess fluent English skills.
