The successful candidate will serve as the principal legal advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, shaping comprehensive legal strategies across product, commercial, corporate, and regulatory domains. The role combines high-level governance oversight with hands-on operational leadership to ensure the business scales responsibly in complex international markets. The appointee will lead and structure a global legal organization of over 35 professionals across multiple jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include overseeing global employment and labor law, driving commercial legal strategy for enterprise contracts, and managing privacy, data protection, and AI governance initiatives. Additionally, the role involves supporting corporate development activities such as M&A, financing, and regulatory engagement while optimizing legal operations through technology and AI. Eligibility: * Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar admission in at least one jurisdiction. * Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., General Counsel, Deputy GC, or equivalent). * Proven experience leading and scaling distributed, global legal teams in a fast-paced environment. * Strong expertise in corporate governance, commercial law, and international employment or regulatory frameworks. * Deep understanding of global workforce models, ideally within EOR, HR tech, SaaS, or similar industries. * Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous, and globally distributed environment.
