The event serves as a national academic and policy-oriented platform to critically examine the Four Labour Codes: the Code on Wages (2019), the Industrial Relations Code (2020), the Code on Social Security (2020), and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code (2020). The symposium aims to facilitate rigorous scholarly engagement and informed policy dialogue regarding the dynamic interrelationship between labour regulation, governance institutions, and economic policy. Participants will explore diverse themes, including the impact of reforms on industrial democracy, gender justice in the workforce, and the challenges posed by technological change and the gig economy. The event will feature plenary sessions and technical paper presentations, with selected papers to be published in an edited book with an ISBN.
