Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead high-stakes litigation, focusing primarily on construction accidents, general personal injury, and complex Labor Law cases. Key responsibilities include:

• Trial Advocacy: Preparing and trying personal injury and Labor Law cases to verdict as first-chair counsel.
• Case Management: Managing cases through all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting extensive motion practice, and representing clients in court proceedings.
• Depositions: Taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Settlement Negotiations: Formulating negotiation strategies and securing favorable settlements on behalf of clients.

Eligibility & Qualifications

To be considered for this mid-to-senior level position, candidates must meet the following stringent criteria:

• Trial Experience: A proven track record of taking at least seven (7) or more personal injury trials to verdict as first-chair counsel.
• Litigation Background: A minimum of five (5) years of experience handling personal injury matters, with deep knowledge of New York Labor Law §§ 240(1), 241(6), 200, and the applicable Industrial Code provisions.
• Education: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Active admission to practice law in the State of New York.
