Established in 2014, the centre serves as a transformative platform providing objective insights and policy inputs to stakeholders and government planners. It operates at the intersection of academic rigor and industry practice to influence the precious metals sector. The Vice President (Research) will be responsible for bridging academic research with industry requirements and policy advisory. The role involves proactive engagement with ministries, regulators, and stakeholders across the gold value chain. Key responsibilities include developing new research initiatives, identifying consultancy needs, and ensuring the timely delivery of technical reports and industry training resources. The appointment is offered on a Tenure-Based Scaled Contract for an initial term of two years, with the possibility of extension. The selected candidate will be placed in Pay Level 13A under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) matrix and will receive benefits at par with permanent employees of the Institute. Eligibility: * PhD, MBA, CA, CFA, CAIA, or a Master’s degree (or higher) in Economics or Public Policy from a reputed institution. * Minimum 18 years of professional experience in industry and/or research. * Strong knowledge of regulations within the precious metals industry or the ability to rapidly adapt to the sector. * Age: Between 40 and 55 years as of the last date of application (relaxable for deserving candidates).
