This role is designed for a forward-thinking legal professional who acts as a core operator rather than a traditional downstream reviewer. A significant component of the role involves championing the adoption of AI-powered legal tools to enhance team velocity and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing contract lifecycles, monitoring fintech regulatory changes, advising on intellectual property strategy, and overseeing outside counsel relationships. The position requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and compliance teams to ensure legal alignment with the company's financial technology goals. The compensation for this executive-level position is listed between $175,000 and $250,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligibility: * Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. * Active membership in a state bar. * Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with substantial in-house experience in fintech, payments, or financial services (or equivalent law firm experience). * Hands-on experience with AI legal platforms (e.g., Harvey, CoCounsel, Ironclad AI, Spellbook, or similar). * In-depth knowledge of consumer financial regulations, including FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, EFTA, Reg E, Reg B, and SCRA/MLA.
