Title: Recruitment of Young Professionals at Income Tax Department, Pune Category: Jobs Organiser: Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-Tax, Pune Description: The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-Tax, Pune, is inviting applications for the position of Young Professional. Selected candidates will be attached to the office of the Commissioners of Income Tax (Departmental Representative) or Senior Departmental Representatives in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT). The primary role involves studying paper books of listed cases, analyzing judgments, identifying favorable precedents for the department, and preparing briefing notes and written submissions. The engagement is strictly on a contractual basis for an initial period of one year, which may be extended for an additional year subject to satisfactory performance. This position provides a unique opportunity for legal and finance professionals to engage in high-level tax litigation research and departmental briefings. Eligibility: * Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 35 years of age as of the date of the advertisement. * Nationality: Must be an Indian National. * Educational Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Law from a recognized institution (minimum 50% marks) or a qualified Chartered Accountant. * Preferred Skills: Preference will be given to Chartered Accountants with tax articleship experience and Law graduates with a background in taxation research. Proficiency in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and strong communication skills are highly desirable.
