8th Research Colloquium & Annual Research Scholars’ Day 2026

Contextual Overview

The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), IIT Kharagpur, is hosting the 8th Research Colloquium & Annual Research Scholars’ Day 2026 (Oct 30‑31, 2026) on the theme “Navigating the Wild: Law, Technology, and the Architecture of Accountability.” The event gathers scholars, faculty, practitioners, policymakers and technology experts to discuss law‑technology intersections.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Abstract submission: Open to research scholars, faculty members and legal practitioners.
• Registration: Open to students, research scholars, faculty, industry participants, SAARC and non‑SAARC participants.
• Maximum of two authors per abstract.
• Word limit: 500–800 words (including citations).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Prepare an extended abstract (500–800 words) on the central theme or any indicated sub‑theme.
• Follow OSCOLA citation style and submit in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
• Participate in blind peer‑review; respond to reviewer comments if required.
• If accepted, present the paper at the colloquium (either as a paper or a presentation).

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Not applicable – this is a scholarly call for papers; no stipend is offered.

Application Procedure & Required Documents

1. Prepare the extended abstract adhering to the word limit and OSCOLA style.
2. Ensure the document is saved as a .docx file.Submit the abstract through the official submission form (link provided on the event page).
3. After submission, await the peer‑review decision (communicated within 48 hours).
4. If accepted, complete registration and pay the applicable fee (Rs. 750 for students/research scholars; Rs. 1,500 for faculty/industry participants).
