Operating with offices in New Delhi, Pune, Nagpur, and Hyderabad, the Clinic focuses on providing pro bono criminal defense, with a particular emphasis on representing death row prisoners. The organization integrates litigation with rigorous research and public engagement to address critical systemic issues, including torture, legal aid, forensic science, and the intersection of mental health and criminal law. Interns will be involved in a wide array of activities, including litigation support for pro bono cases, forensic research, and mitigation investigations involving the preparation of life histories for sentencing hearings. Additionally, the role encompasses strategic communication, storytelling, and administrative support. This internship provides extensive exposure to the practical and theoretical aspects of the criminal justice system in India. Eligibility: * Students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programs in Law, Humanities, Social Sciences, Psychology/Psychiatry, or Media and Communications. * Students from other academic disciplines may apply, though preference is given to the fields mentioned above. * The opportunity is open to candidates studying at institutions both in India and abroad.
