Contextual Overview
Al Masaood Power, based in Abu Dhabi, is hiring a detail‑oriented Contracts & Procurement Engineer to manage procurement processes and contract lifecycles for power‑generation equipment and related services across the UAE and GCC.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or 5‑8 years in a similar role within the past 12 years).
- Experience in power‑generation EPC, maintenance or data‑center projects is advantageous.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract forms.
- Strong English proficiency; candidates based in UAE/GCC preferred.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Develop procurement strategies and prepare RFQs/RFPs for equipment, sub‑contractors and services.
- Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders and framework agreements.
- Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and monthly commercial progress updates for senior management.
- Manage variation orders, claims, and change requests; maintain registers and assess commercial impact.
- Administer client contracts, sub‑contracts, and supplier agreements; ensure compliance with notice requirements.
- Maintain commercial trackers, cost reports, risk registers, and ERP records (SAP/Oracle).
- Liaise with project managers, engineering, finance, procurement and site teams to provide commercial updates and resolve supplier issues.
