Legal Operations Specialist

American Express is inviting applications for the position of Legal Operations Specialist within its Global Litigation and Investigations Team (General Counsel’s Organization) in Gurugram, Haryana. The role involves supporting the processing of third-party legal orders, managing case files, and ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and corporate procedures.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Graduates in law or related subjects.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in an operations team, in-house legal department, or private law firm.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to quickly navigate various databases.
• Articulate and fluent in verbal and written English with a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Open legal matters in the case management system and route them to the correct workstream.
• Assess the validity of legal requests in accordance with American Express procedures.
• Prepare correspondence to issuers of legal requests and evaluate legal documents.
• Research customer accounts and identify/retrieve documents responsive to legal orders.
• Support all aspects of legal order processing functions and contribute to process improvements while maintaining strict confidentiality.
