Manager/ Senior Manager - Legal (East India) at AMPIN Energy Transition

AMPIN Energy Transition is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel based in Kolkata, West Bengal. This role focuses on legal operations within the renewable energy sector, specifically covering the eastern states of India (Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, and North-eastern States).

Key Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Law with specialization in Power (preferably from a reputed institute).
6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience in the renewable energy sector is preferred.
Expertise in one or more of the following: Contract Drafting, PPAs/EPC Contracts, Regulatory Compliance, Land Acquisition, or Project Finance.
Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements including Term Sheets, PPAs (captive/group captive/bilateral), and BTM/Rooftop solar solutions.
Providing regulatory updates and presentations based on the Electricity Act 2003, Electricity Rules 2005, Grid Code, Tariff Orders, ARR, Open Access Regulations, and Net Metering Regulations for eastern states.
Managing title due diligence and authentication of property title documents for solar and wind power plants across India.
Apprising Senior Management on land acquisition progress and title clearance.
Acting as custodian of legal and title documents.
Utilizing Excel for preparing milestones and cash flows.
