Contextual Overview

Ares Management is hiring an Associate Vice President, Legal (FLOW, LP Transfers) for its Mumbai Metropolitan Region location. The role centers on managing limited partner (LP) transfer administration, transaction coordination, and process management within private fund structures.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience within private equity, private credit, fund administration, investor services, transfer agency, fund operations, legal operations, or financial services.
• Understanding of private fund structures, partnership agreements, and investor lifecycle events.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Serve as the primary coordinator for LP transfer requests across Ares-managed funds.
• Coordinate the end-to-end transfer process from initiation through execution and recording.
• Liaise with internal and external legal counsel regarding transfer documentation, comments, and negotiated changes.
• Coordinate AML/KYC onboarding requirements with Compliance and third-party service providers.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance policies, procedures, workflows, and operating manuals relating to LP transfer activity.
