Join Baker Hughes, a global leader in the oilfield services industry, as a Government Relations Officer. The role focuses on managing immigration, labour, licensing and regulatory compliance matters within the UAE, while building and maintaining relationships with government authorities.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university or college (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Government Relations role in the UAE.
- Hands‑on experience with government departments and visa/immigration processes.
- Fluency in written & spoken English and Arabic.
- Strong communication, multitasking and proactive self‑starter qualities.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- End‑to‑end immigration and labour processes (visas, work permits, contracts, cancellations, status changes, dependent visas).
- Coordination with UAE authorities (ICP, MOHRE, Municipalities, Economic Departments, Pension Authorities, etc.).
- Maintenance and renewal of company licences, registrations, permits and government records.
- Support on labour law compliance, Emiratization, pension registrations, WPS compliance and reporting.
- Management of government portals, online accounts and authorised representative records.
- Relationship building with government stakeholders and external service providers.
- Advisory to internal teams on government‑related requirements.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and communicating risks to management.
- Record keeping, reporting and audit support.
- Process improvement and digitalisation initiatives.
- Adherence to company policies and local regulations.
