The role provides strategic and commercially focused legal support across Bell's operational, sales, pre-sales, procurement, and senior management teams. The position focuses on drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, risk mitigation, data protection compliance, and governing contract lifecycle management.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Education & Training: Legal qualification, legal training, or equivalent significant commercial contract management experience.
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years in a contract management or commercial contracts role, with substantial experience in the technology or systems integration sector.
- Legal Expertise: Knowledge of Indian contract law, English law, and international contracting frameworks.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong grasp of data protection laws including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and GDPR/UK GDPR.
- Skillset: Proven experience negotiating high-value commercial risk provisions (liability, indemnities, SLAs) and managing cross-border agreements.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex customer/supplier contracts, SaaS agreements, software licenses, and reseller agreements.
- Oversee and continuously optimize Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes, tracking renewals and legal compliance.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for contractual disputes, legal risk assessment, and claims.
- Engage and manage external legal counsel within budget across Indian and international jurisdictions.
- Act as dedicated Legal Business Partner to assigned business units, mentoring junior commercial contract team members.
