Capital Group is hiring a Senior Corporate Governance Specialist for its EAPAC & ME region, based in the Singapore office. This role sits within the Legal and Compliance (L&C) department, supporting corporate governance activities, board operations, and regulatory compliance for entities serviced from Singapore while collaborating closely with a globally distributed team.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Functional knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance principles.
- Prior experience supporting corporate governance or similar matters within a compliance, legal, or oversight function in the financial industry.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-organizational and cross-regional teams.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and customer-focused working style.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Board and Committee Support: Manage corporate calendars, coordinate cross-timezone meetings, and prepare, collect, and draft meeting materials.
- Governance Operations: Provide day-to-day governance support and continuity of service for local boards, management companies, and affiliated entities.
- Regulatory & Statutory Filings: Manage filings with relevant regulators and registries, track deadlines, and ensure accurate submissions.
- Projects & Collaboration: Lead or contribute to governance projects, policy updates, and process improvements while acting as a trusted point of contact for internal stakeholders and external counsel in Singapore.
