Cognizant is seeking a commercially minded lawyer to join its EMEA Commercial Legal team. The role focuses on supporting business operations across the Benelux region and contributing to strategic opportunities in Continental Europe. The position involves advising on commercial transactions, technology contracts, and managing legal risk for sales and delivery teams.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Dutch Master's degree in Law.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or multinational corporate environment.
• Skills: Strong commercial law experience, specifically with IT, technology, and digital services contracts.
• Knowledge: Proficiency in GDPR and Intellectual Property matters.
• Language: Native-level Dutch and fluent English (written and spoken).
• Preferred: Experience with public sector tenders/procurement; additional European languages (French/German).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Provide legal support on commercial and technology transactions across the Benelux region.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including consulting, outsourcing, cloud, and digital transformation contracts.
• Support client engagements throughout the deal lifecycle (proposal, bid reviews, negotiations, post-signature).
• Advise stakeholders on legal, commercial, operational, IP, and GDPR issues.
• Partner with sales, delivery, and executive leadership to support strategic business initiatives.
