Economic Laws Practice (ELP), a full-service law firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Energy, Infrastructure and Electricity Regulatory Practice in Mumbai. This is a full-time legal position focusing on regulatory litigation and commercial contract review in the energy sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 1–3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Knowledge: Strong and current knowledge of electricity laws and corporate laws.
• Preferred Background: Candidates with relevant experience in electricity regulatory, infrastructure, or related commercial matters are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Reviewing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Shareholders’ Agreements.
• Filing and appearing before Electricity Regulatory Commissions, High Courts, and the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) in electricity law disputes.
• Reviewing infrastructure contracts, including Government tender documents, EPC Agreements, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Concession Agreements, and FIDIC contracts.
