Real Estate Associate (Litigation) at Elizabeth Sanders
Elizabeth Sanders, a Chicago-based boutique law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least two years of litigation experience to join its real estate practice. The firm operates at the intersection of real estate, community development, environmental law, and local government, serving clients such as land banks, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. This role offers a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to manage substantive litigation matters with direct client interaction.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois law license and ARDC registration in good standing
- Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience
- Experience with real estate litigation and/or transactions preferred

Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage litigation matters including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
- Draft briefs, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Appear in Illinois state and/or federal court
- Assist with real estate disputes and support land banking/municipal client matters
- Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis
- Independently manage assigned matters and deadlines while collaborating with partners
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100,000–$130,000 (depending on experience)
