FORMEL SKIN is seeking an exceptional and pragmatic Legal Counsel (m/w/d) to own all legal and data protection matters for its German operations. Based in Berlin on a hybrid schedule, this senior, highly autonomous role serves as the sole legal presence on the ground in Germany, working closely with the UK Group Legal team at HQ.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (Volljurist/Volljuristin).
- Minimum of 4+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Demonstrable experience operating as sole or lead counsel without close supervision.
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
- Valid work permit for Germany (mandatory for non-EU citizens).
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry is preferred.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage litigation risk, medicinal product/device compliance, and first-line litigation.
- Advise product and engineering teams on healthcare and emerging AI regulations.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage German-law commercial agreements and contracts.
- Review marketing and medical communications for German advertising and consumer protection compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for end-to-end GDPR and BDSG compliance.
- Oversee corporate governance, statutory filings, and board/shareholder documentation.
- Provide day-to-day employment law guidance regarding hiring, terminations, and works councils.
- Build legal operations, scalable processes, and contract management tools.
