Contextual Overview
Great Eastern, a leading insurance and financial services group in Singapore, is hiring an Assistant Vice President – Regulatory Compliance to join its Group Regulatory Compliance team.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Insurance, Law, Finance or related field)
- At least 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance, internal audit or legal functions within insurance/financial services
- Strong knowledge of Singapore insurance regulations (Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act, MAS Notices, etc.)
- Proven ability to interpret regulations and advise business units
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide timely, accurate regulatory compliance advice to business units
- Support implementation of the Compliance Risk Management Framework across Great Eastern entities
- Review products, marketing materials and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Conduct regulatory gap assessments, monitor remediation actions, and coordinate annual attestation exercises
- Collaborate on eGRC platform enhancements and provide training on FATCA/CRS, insider‑trading, Volcker Rule, etc.
- Prepare meeting papers, management reports and other documentation as required
