Sr. Legal Counsel

Contextual Overview

Hudl is seeking an experienced Sr. Legal Counsel to join its team in Lincoln, Nebraska. This role serves as a key legal partner across Hudl's global business, focusing on minimizing risk, driving deals forward, and providing actionable guidance on complex legal matters within a high-growth technology environment.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Legally qualified and admitted to practice law in your jurisdiction.
• Ability to obtain in-house registration in Nebraska within 6 months of hiring.
• Minimum of six years of experience working at a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Strong understanding of legal principles applicable to modern SaaS businesses (preferred).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead legal specialties such as privacy, IP, employment, or M&A, building scalable policies.
• Handle a diverse range of matters including vendor contracts, sales agreements, and data protection.
• Provide proactive, strategic risk guidance to leadership and translate complex legal issues for non-lawyers.
• Draft complex agreements, build trusting relationships with external parties and regulators, and train internal teams.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Salary Range: $159,000 - $265,000 USD (starting salaries typically fall near the middle of the range). Eligible for a long-term incentive (LTI) award and performance-based bonuses. Hybrid work arrangement based out of the Lincoln, Nebraska office.
