ISS STOXX is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to join its dynamic legal team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role focuses on providing comprehensive legal support to the company's global sales team regarding complex commercial agreements, professional services, licensing, compliance, and corporate governance.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Degree: LL.B. or J.D. degree from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
- Bar Admission: Member in good standing of the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant experience at a top law firm and/or as in-house counsel managing corporate and commercial matters for multinational firms.
- Skills: Strong expertise in drafting, analyzing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, robust problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide legal support to the global sales team on outbound sales agreements spanning proxy research, governance ratings, sustainability solutions, and asset management intelligence.
- Structure, draft, review, analyze, and negotiate complex service and license agreements, data and software licenses, procurement agreements, and NDAs.
- Assist with updates to template agreements and regulatory compliance matters including corporate, securities, and data privacy requirements.
- Support corporate governance matters for the parent entity and its subsidiaries.
