Junior Legal Counsel, AI & GDPR
Jobgether is recruiting on behalf of a partner company for a Junior Legal Counsel role focused on AI and GDPR compliance. This full-time, remote position involves supporting a global privacy and AI governance program, translating complex regulations into practical business guidance, and managing day-to-day GDPR operations within an international, distributed team.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on data protection experience (in-house, law firm, or consultancy).
- Skills: Practical knowledge of GDPR in an international context; strong legal research and analytical skills; business-fluent English.
- Preferred: CIPP/E certification; exposure to HR technology, SaaS, or global employment/EOR services; German or other additional language skills.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage day-to-day GDPR operations, including drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
- Conduct vendor privacy reviews and maintain records of processing activities and privacy notices across jurisdictions.
- Support AI governance practices, including readiness for the EU AI Act.
- Handle data subject requests in accordance with data protection requirements.
- Research and monitor developments in GDPR, EU AI Act, EDPB guidance, and case law.
- Translate regulatory developments into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: €35,000–€45,000 gross annual salary (dependent on location, skills, and experience).
- Work Mode: Fully remote, within approximately +/- 2 hours of CET.
