Principal Associate - Corporate and M&A

Contextual Overview

Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is inviting applications for the position of Principal Associate / Associate Partner in their Corporate and M&A (Transactions) practice group based in Delhi, India.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Hold a five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record. (LLM, CA, or CS serves as an added advantage).
• Possess 4 to 9 years of relevant corporate practice experience in well-reputed law firm(s).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Handle transactional matters including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), private equity investments, venture capital funding, joint ventures, and strategic corporate transactions.
• Provide expert advisory services on corporate laws, regulatory/sectoral frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Manage assignments independently from inception to completion, including client negotiations and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrate strong command over statutes such as the Companies Act, Indian Contract Act, FEMA, Competition Act, SEBI regulations, and RBI guidelines.
• Contribute to business development, knowledge management (KM), and authoring internal/external articles.
