Legora is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial to join their forward-deployed, AI-first legal team in New York, NY. The role involves supporting a fast-growing legal technology company by drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and acting as a commercial legal partner.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• J.D. (or equivalent) degree.
• Admission to practice in at least one U.S. state or another common law jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or as an in-house legal counsel.
• Strong experience negotiating B2B SaaS agreements and supporting commercial teams.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Act as a commercial legal partner to the business, collaborating with Growth, Operations, and Procurement.
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of customer and supplier contracts.
• Advise on commercial risk allocation, pricing structures, liability, and contractual protections.
• Address data protection and compliance considerations within customer and supplier agreements.
• Develop and maintain commercial templates, playbooks, and guidelines to standardise negotiations.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Pay Range: $252,450.00/yr - $297,000.00/yr with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, parental leave, and 401(k) matching.

Mode: In-person (Union Square office, New York, NY).
