Contextual Overview

Leighton Asia is seeking a highly experienced Manager - Legal to join their team in Mumbai. This role focuses on providing comprehensive in-house legal support, specifically within the construction and mining sectors, with a primary emphasis on tendering support, contract risk assessment, and ethics and compliance management.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent degree).
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Industry Preference: Prior experience as in-house legal counsel for a construction or mining services company is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Tendering Support: Conduct contract reviews, risk assessments, and manage tender contract formation, including drafting MOUs, JVs, and NDAs.
• Contract Drafting: Ensure all contracts are commercially favorable, clear, and unambiguous, while managing execution formalities.
• Compliance: Support staff in understanding the Group Code of Conduct and manage internal legal approvals and external legal advisers.
• Communication: Maintain effective, logical, and concise communication across all internal and external stakeholders.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Compensation: ₹3,500,000 – ₹4,000,000 per annum (Base pay range provided by the employer).
