The role serves as a strategic sparring partner for business departments in Germany as well as branches in Austria and Switzerland, combining legal expertise with entrepreneurial thinking in civil, commercial, corporate, and data protection law.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Successfully completed 1st State Examination in Law (2nd State Examination is an advantage) or comparable degree (e.g., Business Law).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally in an international company or commercial law firm.
- Sound knowledge of German civil law, particularly contract law.
- Negotiation-fluent German and English language skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, service orientation, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Comprehensive legal advice on all civil and commercial law issues, as well as corporate and data protection law.
- Review, drafting, and negotiation of national and international contracts (e.g., distribution, supply, cooperation, and service agreements).
- Legal evaluation of marketing measures, public statements, and communication content for risk identification.
- Management and coordination of external law firms and preparation/accompaniment of judicial and administrative proceedings.
- Support in implementing and developing GDPR data protection compliance in cooperation with experts.
- Conducting practical training for specialized departments on compliance, competition law, and data protection.
