Contextual Overview

Lockstep Technology Group is hiring a Contract Specialist (Legal & Public Sector) based in Bengaluru. This role focuses on managing legal team workflows, supporting public sector and commercial contracts, and overseeing vendor/subcontractor documentation to ensure the organization's contractual and regulatory compliance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts, legal operations, or paralegal functions.
• Prior experience supporting public sector or K-12/E-rate customers is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and e-signature platforms.
• Ability to work partial U.S. hours (until 1 PM EST).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage end-to-end customer and vendor contract lifecycles, including redlining and template maintenance.
• Conduct regulatory and compliance research, summarizing statutes for non-legal stakeholders.
• Triage legal inquiries and manage licensing workflows across state portals.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring legal processes.
• Ensure adherence to legal and operational controls.
