Meesho is seeking a sharp, business-minded legal professional for the role of Manager - Legal to join its legal and secretarial team in Bengaluru. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of law, business, and strategy, supporting corporate governance, contracting, M&A, and strategic transactions.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified LLB degree.
- 5 to 7 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Prior experience in a reputed law firm and/or an in-house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Own and drive the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including drafting agreements from scratch, reviewing and redlining counterparty templates, and leading negotiations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Provide proactive legal advisory on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects while mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
- Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Support corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, investments, and corporate restructurings.
- Partner with the HR team on employment-related matters, policies, and employment agreements.
- Coordinate with external counsel for specialized matters, due diligence, and complex advisory.
